STORING CUT SLIDES/ RETURNING TISSUE:  Cut frozen sections should be stored in slide boxes wrapped air-tight in parafilm at -80 C for long-term storage and at -20 C for short-term storage (ie overnight).  Tissue can be melted out of OCT by removing chuck to room temperature and holding edges of chuck (of course, with gloves) until OCT becomes gummy in consistency. With a razor blade, scrape under the tissue in OCT and place in histo-cassette.  Store cassette on dry ice until transferring to -80 or to liquid nitrogen.
有的资料讲可以保存数年。

冷冻切片后不固定直接放于－70度的冰箱，我认为若作免疫组化和原位杂交最好不超过3个月；若作HE染色则可保存数年。
